— ( ⁑⁑ ) — daisy keech, cisfemale, she/her ✺ hey, was that serafina ‘saffie’ preston? oh, i guess they couldn’t hear you since they were too busy listening to nights like this by kehlani…but let me give you the low down! the twenty-one year old hails from manhattan, new york city, and they’re a makeup mogul around these parts. whenever i see them at their favorite hang out spot, orchard beach club, i can’t help but think of nostalgic songs you can’t get out of your head, an arm littered with make up, being sunkissed from head to toe, the perfect skincare routine, and good times with bad friends. i bet it’s because they can be so kind-hearted yet chaotic. hopefully you’ll get to meet them soon. ✺ — ( ⁑⁑ ) —
‣ serafina was as sweet as caramel as soon as she was born. easiest baby ever. she was very confident as a child, but sadly lost some of that confidence during her teenage years.
‣ she developed psoriasis as a tween and was teased for it. her family was a big help in getting through her insecurities. her parents and her older sister were her like her best friends.
‣ in high school she wasn’t really into sports. she did some as a child to try out but nothing ever stuck. she liked the art classes she was in but those didn’t really pull her interest either after a certain point.
‣ she was only popular because she was pretty and liked to party. and she knew it. she didn’t find her niche until one night she couldn't find make up to cover up her psoriasis break out and drunkenly decided to try and make some on the spot. to her and her friends’ surprise, it actually worked.
‣ Saffie Beauty was born that night. she was only seventeen years old. from then on she worked on her brand, perfecting the science of it, down to the packaging. she took to social media, friends, and family to help spread the word. when she was eighteen she caught the attention of some investors that wanted to help build her company for a percentage. she agreed and the rest is history.
‣ being so close to her parents, she never moved out. the night her parents died, she was waiting at home for them. she got a call from the hospital and rushed over. her mom in critical condition and her dad still in surgery. hours later they were both gone.
‣ instead of her twenty-first birthday party, she had a funeral. the day of her birthday a brand hew car was delivered to their home. there was a card in the front seat signed by her parents.
‣ she was a mess. she should of thrown herself into her work, but instead she found herself at the bottom of a bottle or two.. maybe three most nights. she didn't care. at least she was legal now.
